Mind the Gap

Ride Car Free From Pittsburgh to D.C on the Famous GAP and C&O Canal Rail Trails.

This famous ride is a must-do bucket list item for all cyclists. The ride begins in downtown Pittsburgh and quickly makes its way under the leafy canopy of The Great Allegheny Passage from Pittsburgh to Cumberland for the next 125 miles. Then, for the remaining 184 miles, we travel along the C&O Canal National Park. We’ll hit three states, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Maryland while passing through four National Parks; C&O Canal, The Antietam Battlefield, Harpers Ferry and Rock Creek Park. The route is stunningly calm, peaceful and beautiful. The memory of this ride will leave an indelible place in your mind and in your thoughts for years to come. It is magical.

The Nitty Gritty

This tour is unlike any other in the region. For starters, it is 100% all-inclusive. This means that you don’t have to worry about a thing other than having a great time and enjoying yourself. Leave the nitty gritty details to us.

We will provide all of the gear you need including NEMO tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads and more. We even have Specialized Diverge gravel bikes available for an additional fee.

You will be accompanied by four guides and a concierge wagon. The tour guides will ride along for your safety and provide you with mechanical support if necessary. Plus, at the end of the evening, these professional mechanics will tune your bike so it’s ready to ride in the morning! The concierge will assure that all of the meals and accommodations are prepared and secured. This means that lunches and dinner will be prepared every evening. The concierge will also set up the camp site so you have nothing to do but get to the site, refuel and relax. You’re going to need your energy for the next day of soaking in the stunning scenery.
